Why Torrefaction?

The Torrefaction Process

Torrefaction is a thermochemical process where biomass and waste materials are heated at temperatures between 200°C to 300°C in an oxygen-free environment.

During this process, moisture and volatile compounds are removed, resulting in a dry, energy-dense solid fuel with improved combustion properties.

The final product closely resembles coal and can be used directly in industrial applications or co-fired in power plants.
